Since, Angelina is currently studying the way that students interact with others in their everyday lives at her college, her research is in line with sociology.
Sociology is a social science that studies society, human social behavior, patterns of social relationships, social interaction, and cultural aspects of daily life. It develops a body of knowledge about social order and social change through empirical investigation and critical analysis.
Because all human behavior is social, the subject matter of sociology ranges from the intimate family to the hostile mob; from organized crime to religious traditions; from racial, gender, and social class divisions to shared cultural beliefs. Sociology offers many unique perspectives on the world, generating new ideas and criticizing old ones. In addition, the field provides a variety of research techniques that can be applied to virtually any aspect of social life, including street crime and delinquency, corporate downsizing, how people express emotions, welfare or education reform, how families differ and thrive, and peace and war problems.
