After 1994, one of the major focus was upon creating a equal system, irrespective of racial identities.
Before that, the education, was used by whites to dominate over South Africans, so now first focus goes to Education,
In 1994, the education departments that were previously divided were combined into one, and all children irrespective of their race were allowed to enter into schools
In 2005, a OBE or Outcome Based Education system was adopted, for which a renowned political leader Masila, in 2007,
had said, " it is the outcome of the changes of 1994, that Outcome Based Education is now initiated in South Africa".
Also she argued that "the curriculum of South Africa is designed to represent the modern and newly developed society of South Africa".
They also had faced criticisms regarding the new education curriculum as,
Gail Weldon, accused that, "the revision of the curriculum was done by the top notch politically motivated and human rights forces and were not discussed and debated at the level of curriculum construction".
Many others have accused that the curriculum of South Africa is very much Euro-centric and does not reflect indigenous cultural values.
