All of the founding fathers wanted to get rid of the Articles of confederation and make the constitution instead.

-Because the Articles created a loose confederation of sovereign states and a week central government leaving most of the power with the state government.

Articles of confederation:

  •  This was an agreement among the 13 original states of the united states of America that served as its first frame of government.
  •   It was approved after much debate by the second continental congress on November 15, 1777 and sent to the states for ratification.

 Constitution:

  •   It is an aggregate of fundamental principles or established precedents that constitute the legal basis of a policy, organization or other type of entity and commonly determine how that entity is to be governed.
  • Constitution concerns different levels of organization from sovereign countries to companies and unincorporated associations.

What if we kept the articles of confederation?

  •  There would be nobody to oversee the citizen's actions.
  • Additionally, our country would be severally unprotected.
  • There would be nobody to appoint ambassadors and make treaties, in addition to the fact that there was no military under the Articles.
