Organizational structure is a system which gives an idea of how certain activities should be performed with the aim of achieving the objectives of an organization.
The activities performed can be related to rules, regulations and responsibilities.
The various types of organizational structures are Divisional, Network, Horizontal or flat, Hierarchical, Functional organizational structures, etc.
In a vertical/ tall organizational structure, the CEO is at the top with various managements under him. It has large number of hierarchy levels.
Whereas in horizontal/ flat organization, there is fewer management and mostly the employees make the decision. The levels of hierarchy are less in this type of organization allowing employees to make decisions to customer’s demands.
