Treatment:
- A major issue for medical personnel is when medical and mental illnesses coexist.
- For instance, a person who has been diagnosed with both diabetes and depression would receive therapy for both disorders, but coordination between the multiple healthcare providers providing treatment would be required to account for drug and symptom overlap.
