Domain Specific giftedness is the term that describes the idea that individuals who are gifted are usually only gifted in a few areas.

Domain-specific words are words that don't occur very frequently, they are specific to a certain context and usually appear in textbooks or some scientific materials. Examples would be Pie (in math), monolithic (in geography), isobar (in science), etc.

Domain-specific refers to specialization in any particular field of any type of Domain. Such as a Computer programmer has Knowledge of only programming but not about Civil Engg.
