The characteristics of unreliable test are-
- An unstable test has no advantage over giving students their test results at random.
- In order to ensure that test results represent more than merely random mistake, it is preferable to use tests with high levels of dependability.
- A test must be trustworthy in order to be valid. A test might, however, be valid without being trustworthy.
- If an experiment consistently produces results of the same measure, i.e., produces no random measurement error, then it is considered dependable. If results from repeated measurements vary, it is untrustworthy.
