In case, if the inducer of lac operon [allolactose] is present in the medium during negative control, then it can bind to the repressor and decrease the binding affinity of the repressor with the operator due to which the level of transcription increases.

Lac Operon is a set of three genes z, y & a which are regulated under the same promoter which regulates the amount of lactose production in the cell.
Under negative control, glucose is present and lactose is absent due to which no CAP [catabolite repressor protein] binding occurs, the repressor remains active and thus binds to the operator region of operon hindering the transcription process.
But, when the inducer will be present then it will manipulate the action of the repressor due to which the level of transcription increases.
