D is the correct answer I believe, because Rosa Parks got arrested for not leaving the "white seats" on a bus. she then sparked a bus boycott which cost the bus economy money. Hope this helps :)
The correct answer is D)used economic pressure to try to affect political and social change.
After Rosa Parks arrest on a Montgomery public bus, the NAACP helped to organize a boycott of public buses within this city. The goal of this boycott was to stop taking the bus until the city of Montgomery changed their policy on segregated seating in which African-American citizens were forced to sit in the back of the bus and give up their seats to white citizens.
The NAACP knew that this had a chance to be effective, as the city of Montgomery would lose out on a significant amount of money since no African-Americans that were a part of this movement would ride the bus. After a year of boycotting, the Montgomery bus company lost significant policy. This ultimately lead to a change in the seating laws in this city.
