If in five years' time, the age of Ato will twice the age of Clayman now, then;

y+5 = 2x ............. 2

Substitute equation 1 into 2

y +5 = 2(25-y)

y + 5 = 2(30 - y)

y + 5 = 50 - 2y

3y = 45

y = 15

Since x + y = 25

x = 25 - 15

x = 10

Therefore Clayman is 10 years old and Ato is 15 years old
