One of the main reasons we decided to attend GCU was the ideology, as well as the way the institution incorporates faith into every facet of its educational program. Because they base their history on the Bible, GCU is unique in this regard. This publicly expressed belief system provides teachers and students something to aim toward while they learn. Any university not founded on a particular faith cannot compare to the strong foundation provided by the doctrinal declaration and even the foundational documents. Non-religious institutions can nevertheless provide excellent education; they are just not built on the most vital foundation.
