For many years women’s rights movements have fought arduously to deal with this difference, campaigning to alter laws or taking to the streets to demand their rights ar revered. Moreover, new movements have flourished in the digital age, like the #MeToo campaign that highlights the prevalence of gender-based violence and sexual harassment.
