(According to my research) In christianity, when it comes to marriage they believe that divorcing is on the same level of adultery, and that having a new partner after the divorce is breaking the new commandment. Another religious believe about marriage is that Jewish people also believe that divorce should be avoided, however, they accept it in most cases. A common case they accept it in is domestic abuse.
