Note that in the above story, there were graphic release of pictures from the church that shows the level of damage done.

Therefore, the purpose of the graphic(s) is one that help to show what really occur and not just mare words of newscasters and how it affects the "telling" of the information from the original source is that it shows that the source was true and not a lie.
