Lateral view of the lumbar spine and the sacrum show a displacement of L5 and S1. The L5-S1 intervertebral disk space contains a slight shadow or decreased density. There is now slight narrowing of the L4-L5. Slight hypertrophy of the upper lumbar vertebral bodies is now seen, and the formation of osteophytes are noted in the lower margin of the body of L5. Additional lateral views of the spine were taken in flexion and extension showing slight forward slipping of the lower lumbar vertebrae.
