What is a comparison?

Comparison of means tests helps a person to determine if  groups have similar means. There are many cases in statistics where people want to compare means for two populations or samples. Which technique a person should use depends on what type of data they have and how that data is grouped together.

Comparisons are a normal part of human cognition and can be good for the self-improvement process. When people compare themselves to others, they get information about what they want and where they want to be, and they get valuable feedback on how they measure up.
