plug in the number from f(x) with the x value

For example
f(9)=(9)^2-25
81-25
F(9)=56

That’s one answer.

f(9)= 56
b(4)= 40
d(-4)= 52
f(2)= -6
h(-5)= 48
a(3)= 8
c(16)= 3
e(-3)= 70
g(10)= -12

where ever x is on the problem replace it with the number in parentheses. number 1 says find f(9) so you would just replace x with 9!
