  • ∠BEC = ∠DFC
  • Sides BE = DF

Based on the diagram, triangles BCE and triangles DCF are similar

   ⇒ based on the Angle-Angle theorem

      ⇒ since ∠BCE = ∠DCF and ∠BEC = ∠DFC
