"Well hello there, Charles." I felt someone touch my arm as I was closely investigating the bruised apple. I looked to my left to see a familiar face.

"Brian," I replied. "How good to see you. How're the kids?"

"Oh, they're doing just fine. Millie has just started ballet. Isn't that exciting?"

"Ballet? Exciting? I've never heard of such a thing!" I reply in a jokingly manner.

"Well, I for one am excited for her. She's a very talented young lady. Her mother would be proud." Brian muttered with a slight frown, offended by my inconsiderate statement.
"Wish her my best, Brian." I nod him farewell with a slim smile and watch as he furiously walks away, grocery basket in hand.

"Have a good night, Charles."

“Good morning, Lily!” I exclaimed as she passed by me.
“Ah, good morning, Eleanor,” Lily replied.
“A lovely day, isn’t it?” I told her, happy that she had replied to me.
“Indeed, it is,” she said dreamily. “Indeed it is.”
“What brings you here, Lily?” I asked her. She never came through this hallway of the academy.
“I was going to see the professor for our next assignment. After all, I was out for the lesson today,” she replied.
“Oh, then you should get going! It was lovely seeing you,” I told her, slightly crestfallen that we couldn’t talk more.
“Thank you, El. It was lovely seeing you too! Goodbye then!” Lily exclaimed.
“Goodbye!”
