Okay, we have what a and b equal, so what we can do is replace the a and b in the equation to get the correct answer. As so:

a^3 + 3/4 + 2b
(3)^3 + 3/4 +2(1/8)

Now that we have this equation, we can simplify it all the way until we get one, final number.

(3)^3 + 3/4 + 2(1/8)
27 + 3/4 + 1/4
27 + 1
28.
