The amount of heat gained by the piece of zinc can be calulctaed using   ∆Q = mc∆T

=> ∆T = 36-26 = 10°C

m = 0.15 kg, s = 380J/kg/°C

=> ∆Q = 0.15 x 380 x 10

= 570J
