Ancient Greek mythology tells us that the Trojan War was started when Prince Paris of Troy, absconded with Helen, the wife of King Menelaus.

The Trojan War started because Prince Paris of Troy fell in love with Helen who was the wife of Menelaus. Helen loved him as well and so they ran away together to Troy.

Menelaus was the brother of King Agamemnon and together they marched their army and those of their allies against the Trojans which led to the Trojan War.
