1. You are writing a 5 paragraph essay in which you compare the two poems. 350-500 words
2. Write an introductory paragraph in which you have a hook, introducing the titles and poets names and writing a thesis statement to outlines the three points you will cover in your essay.
3. The first two body paragraphs you will speak about each poem separately. I poem in #2 paragraph and the second poem in #3 paragraph. For each paragraph discuss the points you outlined in your thesis (their style, length, author, social and political context and literary techniques.) Use text quotes within each paragraph.
4. Paragraph #4, you will comparing or contrasting the poems.
5. Paragraph #5 is your conclusion. Restate your thesis and possibly add a call to action by the reader.
