So Basically Use This : ON THE LEFT CORNELL NOTE

Dark Blue: Ss will create a four-columned chart, each column labelled with the name of one type of drama. They will then write at least two features of each time of drama in each column.


And Use This : On The Right Cornell Note .

Dark Blue: Ss will create a poster outlining the literary elements of drama.

On the LEFT Cornell note, I wrote the following:

Drama One (Comedy): The feature of comedy is to amuse the audience. Another feature of comedy is how many types of comedy there are including romantic comedy, sentimental comedy, etc.

Drama Two (Melodrama): One feature of melodrama is the use of pathos, overwhelming use of emotion, etc.  Another feature of melodrama is the effect it has on the audience.

Drama Three (Tragedy): One feature of tragedy is how the protagonists face internal or external challenges depending on the drama.  Another feature of tragedy is that it is performed, not narrated.

Drama Four (Tragicomedy): One feature of tragicomedy is how complex the plots are, especially in Shakespeare's tragicomedies.  Another feature of tragicomedy is that it mixes different aspects of comic and tragic forms such as the drama for the tragic part, and humorous elements for the comic part.

For the SUMMARY part: In summary, I learned that there are multiple types of drama, which are comedy, tragedy, tragicomedy, and melodrama.  I also learned that most dramas build off of others, such as tragicomedy, which is a combination of tragedy and comedy.
