The two angles shown are vertical angles which men they equal each other:

9n = 8n + 8

Subtract 8n from both sides:

N = 8

i) 9n = 8n+8 [ V.O.A. vertically opposite angles ]

or, 9n - 8n = 8

or, n = 8

therefore, value of n is 8

Now,

ii) 9n = 9 X n = 9 X 8 = 72 degrees

iii) 8n + 8 = 8 X 8 + 8 = 64 + 8 = 72 degrees
