Carbon enters the atmosphere as carbon dioxide from respiration (breathing) and combustion (burning).
Continue the steps in the carbon cycle using the picture above as a guide. List of terms that should be included: ozone layer, global warming, autotroph, heterotroph, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, primary producer, consumers, fossil fuels, greenhouse effect.

Respuesta :

Carbon enters the atmosphere as carbon dioxide from respiration (breathing) and combustion (burning). This then reacts in the atmosphere in the carbon dioxide cycle, increasing global warming as gases get trapped by the ozone layer. Autotrophs use energy from the sun and inhale CO2 to release oxygen through photosynthesis. Heterotrophs respire and are consumers of plant life, through cellular respiration, waste products are created, organism decay, dead organisms and their waste products then transform into fossils and fossil fuels used for energy resources and feed into the ocean uptake. The entire cycle creates a greenhouse effect on the planet and carbon and nitrogen gases become trapped in the atmosphere.
