So given 26/12 
Express 26/12 as a decimal, you would have to  divide 26 by 12 to get 2.1666666. 
So, next you would have to round.
   26/12 dollars 
= 2.1666666 dollars 
= 2.17 dollars ... rounded to the nearest penny. 
= $2.17  is the answer :)
