The internal energy of an ideal gas depends on Temperature only
Internal energy, U is the energy contained within the system.
Gases consist of particles in constant motion increasing the temperature increases the rate at which in collide with one another and the wall of the container, thereby increasing the internal energy of the system. Therefore increasing temperature alone increases the internal energy of the system. However altering pressure and volume can affect temperature.
