I have to write an interview narrative essay that is 4 pages long. Ive got a basic outline, yet im struggling on the length. Ive provided everything i know. Please add or change something that i have already written. Thank you.

(Intro, i need 2 paragraphs i only have one)
On March 9th, 2022, I scheduled an interview with my mentor at ------. Ever since I was in sixth grade, so I've known her for six years. She was a high school English teacher in Pennsylvania. She is currently retired and living as a senior citizen in Florida. I selected her since we have never had a political debate and she was brought up in a different age than myself. She was born in a different state and lived in a different era. I felt it would be fascinating to see how she perceives our world now as opposed to when she was younger

Here are the interview questions

Do you feel our government is democratic? yes, we have elections. Congress can vote on things. All voices can be heard if they choose.

How do you participate in government? / Do you vote? yes she absolutely, Talks about politics with friends who have opposing views. Stays informed when choosing a candidate she researches what they have already done. Rather than just going by their word.

What issue do you feel the government represents your values and beliefs well? Not well? Currently, nothing. They dont uphold any of her beliefs. Our economy was doing well until Biden became president. No, there is issues, we were energy independent.

Have you ever contacted your elected officials? About what? Yes, senator rubio. By email. One issue (possibly immigration) because he was someon ewho was involved with that.

What is your advice to teenagers today about our government system?
Educate yourself about it, find out how our system hould work per the constitution.
Educate yourself about the candidates that are running in your area. (local, state, national,)
Find their platform, what theyve donw in the past,
After you did those, go vote.

Personal questions
Are you politically engaged? Why, whynot. Other than voting she does nothing further to be politically engaged.

What is something that happened to you deaaling with Jury duty or other court things? Called for jury duty several times. Never actually sat in jury. Just didnt pick her. When her brother died, brother was in a lawsuit. She contiuned lawsuit for him. Disappointed in our justice system. She had evidence, judge wouldent let them present it. Felt it was rigged. Chopped the situation up to a mishap didnt make her despise the system. Not sure if she has faith in this system. Money makes people stay off the hook.

What is your view on current issues or certain laws? One big issue is the clear and obvious apocracy among gov officials. They say one thing and do another. Example: everyone is concerned with ukrain boarders, whatabout sovereignty of our boarders.
Another issue would be (kinda believes in america first policy) does not say she is an isolationist. Things should be fair from both sides. Why should we buy oil from foreign countries when we have plenty of oil here.
Why should we allow us countries to base ourselves overseas to stay out of paying corporate taxes.

How is where you grew up different politically than here? Grew up where everything was democratic. Back then dc party was different. Now in florida, florida is republican. Republican is also different from when she grew up. With a broad stroke, the parties have changed places from what they used to be.

Has being a teacher changed your political views in any way? No, WOuldent give anymore information.

Thank you so much for your time!
