Yes, The war in Ukraine has the potential to drag on for another two to three months, killing tens of thousands of Ukrainians and destroying many, if not most, of its major metropolitan centers.
Russia wanted to take over Ukraine and Ukraine wants to defend their country under any means necessary. So "yes" the conflict will most likely carry on for a few more months. Then a few more years to fix all the damages caused by Russia, and even Russia has to recover majorly. Due to sanctions Russia's economy is in global ruin and many major businesses have shut down many, if not all economic ties with Russia and many ways for people in Russia to make money are no longer possible due to these sanctions.
