Plug in the numbers for [tex]x[/tex] and [tex]y[/tex]
[tex]2(2)(4)*(2)(4)^2[/tex]
Using PEMDAS (Order of Operations - see below), simplify exponents first:
[tex]2(2)(4)*(2)(16)[/tex]
Multiply from left to right:
[tex](4)(4)*(2)(16)[/tex]
[tex]16*32[/tex]
[tex]512[/tex]
Your answer is 512.
