[tex]\textit{Your Answer →}[/tex]

(-5x)² = (-5)²(x)² = 25x²

First we use the theorem which says (mn)² = m²n²

then we apply this and separate the -5 and X and square them separately. Thus we reach our answer.

I hope it's Helpful

Using exponential knowledge, we have:

25x²

What is exponential?

An exponential equation is an algebraic expression that has an equality and at least one unknown in one of its exponents. To be considered an equation, an expression must have at least one unknown, which is an unknown number represented by a letter, and an equality relationship.

So we have that:

[tex](mn)^2 = m^2n^2\\(-5x)^2 = (-5)^2(x)^2 =25x^2[/tex]
