Monounsaturated acids such as oleic acid have only one double bond while polyunsaturated fatty acids have multiple double bonds. while saturated fatty acids does not possess double bonds.

The major difference between linoleic acid and oleic acids is the difference in weight, linoleic acids are lighter and are easily absorbable by the skin.
