In the movie "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," special effects are used very often. The entire Harry Potter series includes magic, and as we all know, magic doesn't exist in the real world. So, the creators of the Harry Potter movies had to use editing and special effects to make the magic as well as many of the creatures and backgrounds look real. They use special effects to make things look real.

In one third task scene of the Goblet of Fire, a lot of special effects are used. Firstly, they have to use special effects for the giant maze that raises about 40 feet high when cannot physically be real in the real world. They use CGI and possible matte paintings to do this. Secondly, they used special effects for the sparks and such that comes out the tips of the character's wands to make it look like magic because that also, is not real. They used the special effect called CGI for the creatures within the scene which can be guessed by the audience. They also used CGI for the statue that appeared to capture and detain Harry Potter.

Special effects

The film mentioned, Harry Potter and the Globet of Fire, has a lot of special effects, as well as the other six Harry Potter movies. Most of the moments where someone is flying or doing a specific action that is not possible to do in real life or that is dangerous to do, are filmed using a green screen indoors, and editors are able to complete the scene during the editing process, which used to be called the film montage process but now it is done digitally.
