If Latin is the origin of the languages and cultures of Spanish, Portuguese, & French; then what was it that caused these lands between the USA and Southern Ocean to be called "Latin America?"

A, Colonization. Thats it bro, World War 1/2 had nothing to do with it. Latin was spoken but not in frequency as you’d think.
