Ok I have a question about music... Is there a limit to how many compositions we can make. Someone said music is like pi, where there are no infinite repeats in music. So, for example, if I made a 4 note sequence and exhausted every possible 4 note piano sequence, then I made a new song that had an 8 note melody, wouldn't that 8 note melody not be a new sequence, but it would be two 4 note sequences I already used just put together?

There is no limit to how many compositions you can make. It's your composition and you can put any sequence you want into it. Unless it is an assignment with specific rules then there would be a limit. Subsequently, If it is an assignment please include that in your question next time.

The answer is no but let me evaluate you can have a four note sequence of the same note and it not be the same you can use different time signatures my personal favorite is 5/4 but anyways that’s besides the point it’s about the rhythms technicalities you use dynamics and accidentals this is why music is such a vast concept
