There were different ways the freedom of speech limited during ww1. Due to the fact that President Wilson does not tolerate criticism, disloyal individuals did sacrificed their rights to civil liberties.

Freedom of speech was said to be be limited during wartime. The government was known to have restricted the expressions of people by the fact that “it would bring a clear and danger that can bring a lot of evils that Congress will then have to prevent.

The Congress was known to have passed a restrictive Sedition Act of 1918. and When it was signed by President Wilson, it was said to  criminalize disloyal, or hate speech about the United States or its symbols.
