Answer:WHO WILL SAVE THE MICE?
Explanation: About five hundred mice once lived in a thatched mud house. Though there was enough food and holes were easily made in the mud, the mice were quite unhappy because Kitty, the cat,was also living with them in the same house.
Kitty, the chief enemy, always lay in wait for them. At every opportunity she had, she would pounce on them seriously, even killing many of them while some other times, the lucky ones would escape with severe injuries on them.
One night, all the mice gathered together to find a solution to their problem. Some of the mice suggested attacking the cat but this was found to be impossible.
'I have a good idea', said a young mouse. 'Let's tie a bell round her neck while she is fast asleep, to warn us of her movements. We shall run to hiding whenever we hear the tickling of the bell'.
The mice all welcomed the idea. Then an old mouse, who was the chief of the mice, stood up and commended the young mouse for such an idea. 'This is a very good idea, dear citizens. But who will take up the task of tying the bell round the cat's neck?'
No one volunteered. They all went back into their holes realising that saying certain things was easier than doing them.
Hope it helps!
