State two processes through which plants excrete their metabolic wastes.
Cellular respiration and photosynthesis.
Cellular respiration is the process by which organisms combine oxygen with food molecules, divert the chemical energy of these substances to life-sustaining activities, and dispose of them as waste. (carbon dioxide and water)
Photosynthesis uses sun light, carbon dioxide and water to produce energy-storing carbohydrates. Oxygen is generated as photosynthetic waste.
