wolves unfortunately became endangered due to overhunting and change in habitat due to people cutting down forests and building cities. the desire for wolf pelt jumped up so hunters went insane over it to get permits to hunt them, and when that became illegal a poacher black market formed and poaching became all to often, hunting wolves to near extinction all for a pretty wolf coat.
