What is the element's name and symbol?
Is it a metal, nonmetal, or metalloid?
Which family does it belong to?
How many protons, neutrons, and electrons does its neutral atom have?

Respuesta :

The element name is Sodium as it is also found on the first column in the

periodic table. The symbol is Na.

Sodium belongs to the alkali metal family .The neutral atoms of Sodium

(Na) has 11 protons, 11 electrons and 12 neutrons.

The atomic number being 11 means that it has equal number of proton

which is 11. The number of proton and electron in a neutral atom is always

equal which means the electron is 11.

mass number = protons + neutrons.

23 = 11 + n

n= 23-11

  =12 neutrons.
