Consider Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. Some have criticized the different forms as being skills rather than actual forms of intelligence. Excluding Linguistic and Logical-Mathematical identify at least one of the remaining intelligence that you manifest. Do you believe the critics or do you see these as true forms of intelligence?

Respuesta :

Howard Gardner opposed the fact that we have general intelligence. He stipulated that there were multiple intelligences. I believe that I exhibit Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence. This refers to a person's ability to use his body to solve problems. As an excellent dancer, I use my body to entertain people.

  • I see the intelligencies mentioned by Gardner as true forms of intelligence. Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge. So, if a person is a poor dancer, he lacks the intelligence of that art because he is unable to apply the knowledge of dancing.

Gardner believed that we have musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Linguistic, and Logical-Mathematical bits of intelligence.  Intelligence refers to one's ability to acquire and apply knowledge.

So, if a person is lacking in any of these aspects, he lacks intelligence in that aspect.
