There are differences in the amount of  chlorophyll production for sun-adapted and shade-adapted leaves because there is less number of chlorophyll on sun adapted leaves whereas shade adapted leaves have higher amount of chlorophyll in order to catch maximum amount of sunlight for the process of photosynthesis.

There is large amount of oxygen produced by the sun adapted leaves due to higher rate of photosynthesis as compared to shade adapted leaves so we can conclude that there is difference in the amount of chlorophyll production for shade adapted and sun adapted leaves.
