Planters in the South  were called the planter class and also as the Southern aristocracy. This is regarded as  a racial and socio-economic caste of Pan-American society that existed in 17th and 18th century agricultural markets.

The Southern planters believed on the view of the English Renaissance, classical literature and scientific inquiry.
