The direction of movement of continental glaciers can be determined by
looking at Striations.
Striations are formed from the geologic activities and they comprise of
ridges or lines. The ridges or lines formed as a result of fault which develop
from the glacier movement.
The lines developed from the fault helps scientists to have an idea on the
direction in which the glacier moved as areas which have these features tells them that the glacier moved in that direction.
