130 + 2x = 180
2x = 180 - 130
2x = 50
x = 50/2
x = 25
2x + 4y + 54 = 180
2(25) + 4y + 54 = 180
50 + 4y + 54 = 180
4y + 104 = 180
4y = 180 - 104
4y = 76
y = 76/4
y = 19
answer: x = 25 and y = 19

130 + 2x = 180 Sum of angles in a straight line
2x = 180 - 130
2x = 50
x = 50/2
x = 25°
In a triangle:
Exterior angle = Sum of opposite interior angle
130 = 4y + 54
4y + 54 = 130
4y = 130 - 54
4y = 76
y = 76/4
y = 19°
Hope this helps.
