1. Write an inequality that compares –6 and 3. Justify your inequality using the number line.

The inequality is

$- 6 \geqslant x \leqslant 3$

And please shade at the points of -6 and 3 to indicate the greater or equal sign.

The 9 is the spacing from -6 and 3.
