briefly describe how the developments from the mid–1800s described in the excerpt relate to earlier developments in the late 1700s and early 1800s.

Respuesta :

Inventions from the late second half of the 18th century influenced most inventions from the first half of the 19th century.

From the sixteenth century Europe experienced momentous changes that are known as a pre-industrial era that were:

  • Massification of land and sea trade.
  • Creation of banking and other financial inventions.
  • Massification of heavy industry and mining.
  • Travel from the countryside to the cities.
  • The transition from the agricultural economy to the industrial economy.

During this time, steam engines and other tools were invented that allowed jobs to be done much faster and cheaper than before. These inventions would be the prelude to the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century.

During the Industrial Revolution, cities experienced a demographic explosion, factories had more and more employees and the production of textile and other goods became massive.

On the other hand, transportation was revolutionized once the railroad, steamship, and roads, and canals were created.

According to the above, it can be inferred that the industrial revolution of the first half of the 19th century was due to technological advances and changes of thought during the late 18th century.
