The arteries (red) carry oxygen and nutrients away from your heart, to your body's tissues. The veins (blue) take oxygen-poor blood back to the heart. Arteries begin with the aorta, the large artery leaving the heart.
Blood vessels flow blood throughout the body while arteries transport blood to other parts in the body like the brain and body functions then capillaries take waste from your tissues and absorb oxygen and nutrients, blood vessels help circulate the blood, I hoped this somewhat helped
