Some of the figures of speech are:
1. Alliteration – the repetition of consonant sounds at the beginning of words.
2. Metaphor – a comparison between unlike things without a comparative word such as like or as.
3. Personification – the knack of inanimate objects or abstract concepts with animate or living things.
4. Simile – a comparison between unlike things using a comparative word such as like or as.
Simile-"it flares flame like the fire hydrant", metaphor- "is ebony on the blackbird's wing", personification- "The late september sunshine is a chameleon", imagery- "A sparkling rainbow on the stained-glass window."
